Recessed steel speaker enclosure model XCP-87 will accept an 8-inch driver and a torsion or screw-mount grille. Construction is welded unitized 22-gauge U.S. steel with black powder epoxy finish. It features combination knockouts for conduit and wire. Includes 1-1/2 inch thick batting to absorb undesirable resonance in the high frequency range.

The recessed enclosure shall be Lowell Model No. XCP87, which shall be 22-gauge steel undercoated to eliminate acoustic and mechanical resonance and finished with a black powder epoxy paint. The enclosure shall measure 10.06 in, diameter x 6.69 in. depth. It shall feature four .5–.75 knockouts for conduit, four .5″ knockouts for wires and 1.5 in. batting.
