The recessed speaker enclosure shall be Lowell Model 8XD4-S, as specified. The enclosure shall be fabricated of USA-certified steel with a white powder coat finish. It shall feature a tapered can design measuring 10″ diameter at the flange, 8.375″ can diameter, and 4″ depth. The enclosure shall feature one planished 1/2″ top knockout, four additional 1/2″–3/4″ side knockouts spaced at 90-degree intervals. It shall include two flexible perforated mounting straps for use with seismic-restraint cables or suspension in open architecture installations. and include a polyurethane foam disc. It shall be TAA and BAA compliant, and UL Listed when used with approved speaker assemblies.
