The surface-mount backbox shall be Lowell Model CB88, which shall be fabricated of 20-gauge steel and lined with 1.5 in. thick acoustic batting. The rear shall include provisions to mount to a 4 in. square, 4 in. octagon, 2-gang or 1-gang E.O. box (not included). The rear of the backbox shall also feature a 3/8 in. diameter hole with grommet for wire access. The backbox shall have four mounting holes and 8-32 U-clips to accept a companion grille with speaker adapter plate (order separately). The backbox shall measure 12.56 in. square x 7.94 in. deep and have a white powder epoxy finish.
