The versatile VARI-RACK (LVR-series) is a slim footprint 19" EIA unassembled rack suitable for built-in or freestanding applications. The unique design allows the depth to be selected during set-up so it's easy to fit into shallow quarters. Corner rails are also designed to solve last minute problems – printed marks help accurate field-cuts when the height needs to be trimmed just a bit.

The robust design supports loads up to 400 lbs. Racks that are 30RU or taller include side support brackets for torsional rigidity (see photo). A variety of options make this the right choice for multiple applications.

To streamline assembly, the top and base sections ship pre-assembled except for the depth, which is selected during set-up. A printed scale (inches, mm, rack units) on the base and top simplifies set-up.

Racks are available in heights from 8RU to 44RU with a choice of 2 depth ranges:

• LVR (1421 series): can be assembled with the depth set to any point between 14" and 21" specs

• LVR (2128 series): can be assembled with the depth set to any point between 21" and 28" specs

When a custom height is needed to fit the rack inside cabinetry, refer to the cut-marks and scale printed on the corner post mounting rails to take the guess work out of field-cuts.

MODULAR FREEDOM and ECONOMY. A variety of options—ordered separately—give you the freedom to design the rack to fit each job, keeping costs down by limiting features to those best suited for each application. In addition, the basic rack can be ordered as a single unit or as component sets (top/base separate from rails) which provides mix-and-match convenience from parts kept on-hand.

• Front Door: surface front door with key lock. Solid steel or steel frame with smoked Plexiglas insert. For use with LVR-series rack assembled to any depth.

• Rear Access Cover: vented, pull-open cover with key lock. For use with LVR-series rack assembled to any depth.

• Extra Mounting Rails: 10-32 thin-flange mounting rails, adjustable side brackets, and hardware. Sold in pairs. For use with LVR-series rack assembled to any depth.

• Side Panels: steel side panels extend 1" beyond rack depth (.5" front, .5" rear). For use with LVR-series rack assembled to either 21" depth or 26.25" depth.

 • Cable Chase: 3" wide raceway for managing cables. For use with LVR-series 44U rack assembled to either 21" depth or 26.25" depth.

• Mobile Base: 14-ga. steel skirted design hides (4) swivel-casters. Increases overall rack height 4.25". For use with LVR-series rack assembled to either 21" depth or 26.25" depth.

• Casters: Set of (4) swivel casters, or (2) swivel and (2) swivel-locking casters. For use with LVR-series rack assembled to any depth.

• Casters for Fine Floors: Casters with special rubber tread won't mar fine floors. Set of (4) swivel casters, or (2) swivel plus (2) swivel-locking casters. For use with LVR-series rack assembled to any depth.

• Protective Runner Kit: plastic runners provide protection for wood surfaces when the VARI-RACK is installed inside cabinetry. For use with LVR-series rack assembled to any depth.

• Ordering Option. The VARI-RACK can be purchased as a complete unit—see spec sheets for model numbers—or as component sets to keep on hand to mix-and-match as needed. Combine 1 top/base set with 1 rail set to build 1 rack.
