SHELVES

US: utility shelf

16-gauge steel utility shelf with open front. Available in two depths (10"D or 14"D), 4 heights. specs

USE: utility shelf with punches

16-gauge steel utility shelf for electronics is punched in back to mount chassis-style electronics. Includes solid front security panel. 10"D. Available in 2 heights. specs

USVC: utility shelf with clamps

16-gauge steel, vented clamping utility shelf with open front. Includes brackets and rear stops to secure non-rackmount equipment. 15"D. Available in 3 heights. specs

RMK: shelf kit with custom face

This 14-gauge steel shelf is available in 14" or 18" depth, and accommodates electronic equipment up to 17.37" wide. It has a vented bottom and vented sides for passive heat dissipation. Hinged sides promote fast installation. The custom face plate is made to your specifications and secures on standard EIA spacing after the shelf is mounted. specs  

The RMK can be purchased as a complete kit or as separate components (shelf or face plate individually). This means that when equipment changes, you can re-use the shelf and order a custom face for the new equipment. 

Ordering: To order the RMK, check the RMK manufacturer's database (below) to see if your equipment is listed. If listed, use the complete model number provided to order the kit (shelf with face plate) or individual components (face plate only or shelf only) that will fit your equipment.

If your equipment is not listed in the database:  Select an RMK "partial" model number from the spec sheet to indicate shelf size desired, then use this template to measure your equipment. Fax (888-456-9355) or e-mail the measurements to Lowell, who will generate a "complete" model number and build the custom face plate for your equipment. The new custom model number will be added to the RMK database for future reference and may be used for future purchases.

Optional accessories: Accessories for the RMK include rear extension brackets to provide additional support. There's also a top clamp to secure equipment that is less than 16.13" wide. See the specs  for model no's.

FWS-215: laminated shelf

Fixed writing surface or shelf with wood laminate finish. 2U.  30 lbs. load capacity. specs

RSD-116: (reversible) shelf or drawer

Reversible design can be installed as shelf or shallow drawer.  Slide-out 1U unit features integral pull. 80 lbs. load capacity. specs

KDMS: drawer with shelf

Heavy duty support for extended 18" keyboard and std. computer monitor. Shelf slides out and swivels for keyboard access. Snap-closure panel secures drawer when not in use. Includes full-length wrist pad and slide-out mouse platform (right or left-hand). Drawer mounts on front and rear rails, extends 16" and is reinforced on top. Black powder epoxy finish. VDS-2-2032: variable-depth shelf

Adjusts from 20” to 32”D (for 27”, 32” or 36”D racks). Load capacity up to 250 lbs. Requires front and rear rail support. specs

VWS: variable-width shelf

Adjusts from 17.5” to 22”W. Provides support for non-rackmount equipment that is wider than mounting rail clearance of 17.813”. Three-piece unit mounts behind rails (doesn’t utilize rack height space). Side supports can be installed with either long or short side up to emulate 2U or 3U shelf without using front mounting rail space. specs

CDM: mat

Cabinet drawer mat is a non-slip, perforated liner that provides a protective barrier between electronics accessories and the drawer’s metal surface. 15.5" x 14". specs

DFI: foam insert

Drawer foam inserts are designed to protect sensitive equipment. Die-cut foam is pre-scored so you can “pick and pull” sections to create custom holes that keep accessories from jostling when drawer is opened and closed. Insert includes two pieces (die-cut foam plus 3/8" foam pad for bottom). 15.5" x 14". Fits UDE, UDEL and UDP-series drawers. Three sizes: DFI-2 (for 2U drawer), DFI-3 (for 3U drawer), or DFI-4 (for 4U drawer). specs
